The Friendship Bus

This project began after the Covid 19 pandemic. There were numerous challenges over the 18 months of restrictions and lockdowns with many people stuck at home, unable to meet friends or attend social venues.  Once the restrictions finally lifted, we began to take people out & about again. Our Friendship Bus has been very well received and we love to hear the chat and laughs which develop amongst our passengers.

There’s no charge and the trips include a lunch or afternoon tea.   So far, some of our service users have enjoyed visits to:

  • Garden Centres

  • The Black Isle

  • Beauly/Glenurquhart

  • Nairn

  • Dochgarroch

Call us on 01463 226662 to register your interest in our next trip!

And here’s what some participants had to say after their trips…

“After such a wonderful excursion to the Black Isle, I now use your community transport regularly.”

“Many thanks for taking J out… it was a treat for both of us. J enjoyed his time without me, and I enjoyed a couple of hours freedom to do what I wanted (cup of coffee with friend!).”

“Getting out for a while is a great benefit to both of us. Being stuck in the house for over a year was soul-destroying.”

“It was good to see people and feel part of the world again.”
